While PARKAL DENTAL BRACES AND INVISALIGN CENTRE has always complied with strict provincially-mandated infection prevention and control protocols, the health and safety of our patients and staff is our priority. In response to the current pandemic, we have implemented new safety protocols guided by of the Centre for Disease Control and World Health Organization (WHO).

Listed below is a summary of some changes you will encounter upon your visit to our dental office:

Pre-Screening

Medical information and COVID-19 specific questions are addressed prior to your appointment over the call.

Virtual Lobby

All patients are required to wear a mask when they come to the clinic.

Remove your footwear and sanitize them using the foot sanitizer. Also sanitize your hands using the automatic disinfectant dispenser.

Then you can ring the bell and wait outside until the receptionist confirms when you are permitted to enter our waiting room.

Attend your appointment alone. Of course, minors or those that require special assistance for medical or language reasons are permitted to have one person accompany them into our office.

Entry

Upon entry, please be seated with social distancing norms in the waiting room. We go strictly by appointment s during this pandemic. Follow timings promptly, please don’t be late or too early for your appointment.

Screening

Upon entry to the office, your body temperature will be checked using a non-contact infra-red thermometer. Also your level of oxygen saturation is checked using a pulse oximeter. After disinfection, you will be provided with disposable, COVID protection kit prior to entering the treatment room.

Dental Staff Screening

Each team member confirms their temperature and health status daily. All dental staff including receptionist will wear masks at all times. Clinical staffs wear appropriate personal protective equipment during dental procedures.

Social Distancing

Appointment times have been changed to accommodate social distancing. Patients are asked to wear a mask inside all areas except the treatment room.

Dental Appointment

• The treatment rooms are disinfected completely after every use
• At the end of the day, the entire clinic is fumigated.
• Air purification systems with HEPA filters are running in all treatment rooms.
• All instruments are autoclaved and stored appropriately in ultra violet cabins.
• Maximum Disposable auxiliaries are used and disposed as indicated.
• Patient care- A pre-procedural mouth rinse may be provided before treatment for disinfection.
• Ensuring patient safety during the entire treatment procedure is our goal.
